"No one is in control of your happiness but you; therefore,
you have the power to change anything about yourself
or your life that you want to change."
Barbara De Angelis

My musical taste has developed over the years.  My first influences were T.Rex, ELP, Yes and Pink Floyd. The rhythmic and melody variations of this music interested me, each time you listen to a track something new would appear. The same could be said for the next generation of artists that appealed to me, artists such as Thin Lizzy, Iron Maiden, Def  Leppard, Whitesnake, AC/DC, and Van Halen. But this group added raw energy, power and exciting live performances to the enjoyment of the music. My current taste has evolved from these artistes but has broadened to include a myriad of other musical styles. Styles such as hiphop, pop, classical and RnB. In fact I can honestly say that I enjoy listening to all flavours of music depending on my current mood. So today I enjoy artists such as Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Dream Theater, Within Temptation, Goapelle, Mel C, Anastacia and a whole set of electronic rock such as Uusi Fantasia.

I have played guitar for many years, but not consecutivley. I have had lengthy periods where my other passion " windsurfing" has taken preference, and it  still does to some degree. In fact  I didnt play for about 15 years at all. But the urge to pick it up and start again re-surfaced and I have enjoyed it greatly, culminating in my first work "Guitar Psychology".

"Guitar Psychology" is a montage of differing musical genre's. I wanted to explore recording different styles of music, and not adhere to any formal musical structure or formula. I wanted to see where the creative musical journey would take me. The journey has been tough at times, learning the recording process and learning how to play other instruments on the way. In fact, 9 months into the project my hard disc disintegrated and I lost all my work and had to start again. But the experience has been worthwhile and I am now looking ahead to my next project.

I would like to thank, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Edward Van Halen, John Petrucci, Edward Box and Gary Moore for their music, which has been a major source of enjoyment and inspiration for me over the years.

Im gonna spend most of 2008 pursuing my main interest windsurfing, but will record some covers on the way, maybe a Satch cover!

Cheers!!
